TL;DR: The authors revisado las investigaciones orientadas a la inspeccion del proceso de GMAW a traves of sistemas de vision artificial with el objetivo of establecer los principales elementos utilizados in estos sistemeas, destacando two categorias: metodos computacionales (software and algoritmos generales), materiales and modelos matematicos (metodos estadisticos and numericos).

TL;DR: In this paper, taxonomic and phylogenetic diversities increase or decrease with increasing altitude in the Andes Tropical Dry Forest (TDFs), and the influence of environmental filtering in the studied sites was found.
Abstract: Tropical dry forests (TDFs) are ecosystems that present stresses for woody species, and these stresses are expected to filter out many lineages that do not adapt to these stressful environments. In most cases, in the Andes, only small fragments of these forests remain with different conservation conditions in a gradient of altitude and stresses. This work aimed to answer whether taxonomic and phylogenetic diversities increase or decrease with increasing altitude in the Andes TDFs. The working hypothesis was that the variation in altitude determines the taxonomic and phylogenetic diversity of the Andes TDFs. The study was carried out through a floristic census in seven different locations in an Andean slope with altitudes ranging from 282 up to 799 m ASL. In each location, 20 plots of 25-m × 4-m were established, totaling 140 plots. Taxonomic and phylogenetic diversity indices were estimated. We also used principal component analysis to describe the influence of climatic variables at the seven study sites. We found the influence of environmental filtering in the studied sites. As climatic seasonality increases and altitude decreases, taxonomic and phylogenetic diversity decrease and phylogenetic clustering increases. The major concern in a global warming scenario is that increasing the effects of high temperatures and droughts could extinct species and phylogenetic lineages as TDF fragmentation prevents species from migrating upwards in the mountains. Therefore, to promote connectivity is a priority besides stop habitat loss of TDFs.

TL;DR: It is found that sociodemographic factors such as living in high-density cities, pacific and western regions and low socioeconomic status (SISBEN I) showed a highest perinatal mortality and an adequate monitoring of weight control, blood pressure, and biochemistry essays were associated as facilitators of perinnatal mortality.
Abstract: Background: an adequate monitoring and the compliance of the nutritional requirements are essential for fetal development and successful control of pregnancy outcomes. This study aimed to determine the association between sociodemographic factors and the pre-birth monitoring associated with perinatal mortality in pregnant women from Colombia. Methods: this was a cross-sectional analysis from the 2010 Colombian Demographic and Health Survey and the National Nutritional Survey that included 14 754 pregnant women between 13 and 44 years old. Sociodemographic factors included: new born sex, geographic region, socioeconomic status (SISBEN), pre-birth monitoring (weight control, uterus height, blood pressure, fetal cardiac activity, biochemistry essays, urine analysis) and the supplementation of iron, calcium and folic acid, were collected by structured questionnaire. Associations were established through multivariable and binary regression models. Results: sociodemographic factors such as living in high-density cities, pacific and western regions and low socioeconomic status (SISBEN I) showed a highest perinatal mortality with rates of 1.7%, 1.5%, 1.4% and 1.4%, respectively. After adjustment by new born sex, geographic region and SISBEN score, an adequate monitoring of weight control (OR = 5.12), blood pressure (OR = 5.18), biochemistry essays (OR = 2.19), supplementation of iron (OR = 2.09), calcium (OR=1.73) and folic acid (OR = 2.73) were associated as facilitators of perinatal mortality.

TL;DR: Two cases of appearance of encephalic tuberculomas during anti-tuberculous treatment in immunocompetent patients are presented, including an adult man presenting a right frontal lesion which required surgical treatment and a girl with multiple lesions located mainly in the brainstem.
Abstract: Two cases of appearance of encephalic tuberculomas during anti-tuberculous treatment in immunocompetent patients are presented. The first an adult man presenting a right frontal lesion which required surgical treatment and the second a girl with multiple lesions located mainly in the brainstem. This paradoxical presentation is attributed to a bizarre immunological reaction between the host and the tuberculosis bacillus. Patients with this condition do not require changes in anti-tuberculous treatment, and steroids are helpful in alleviating the symptoms. Surgery is indicated only for cases of uncontrollable intracranial hypertension or when there is diagnostic uncertainty. The prognosis of this entity is usually good.
