29 Aug 2008TL;DR: In this paper, a method and system for online calibration of a vehicle video system using vanishing points, evaluated from frames of a camera image contains identified markings or edges on a road, is presented.
Abstract: The present invention relates to video-based driver assistance systems being used in vehicles today to perform a variety of functions, such as lane or road departure warning. These functions often require that parts of the video image be identified as, for example, a traffic sign, a bridge, lane markings, etc. Particularly the present invention relates to a method and system for online calibration of a vehicle video system using vanishing points, evaluated from frames of a camera image contains identified markings or edges on a road. The vanishing points are located by finding or extrapolating at least at one left- and/or right-hand side markings or edges of a road to a point of intersection, whereby a long term average vanishing point location is calculated with time-filtering methods from a sequence of images, even when only one side of a road or lane marking or an edge is visible in any given frame of an image at a time, and from the time-averaged vanishing point location coordinates, the static yaw and pitch angles of the camera are deduced. The present invention relates to also to a method to locate the vanishing points by finding or extrapolating the regularity of repeated road markings, such as dashed patterns and to a method to locate the vanishing point d by using the change in spatial frequency of textures on the surface ahead as an object to determine the camera pitch angle.

01 Sep 1989TL;DR: In this paper, an automotive condenser is described as having vertically upstanding first and second headers communicating with inlet and outlet connections, respectively, and generally horizontally disposed tubes connected into such headers, wherein the second header is dimensioned to permit refrigerant gas to separate from refrigerant liquid to provide an upper volume of gas and a lower volume of liquid.
Abstract: An automotive condenser is disclosed as having vertically upstanding first and second headers communicating with inlet and outlet connections, respectively, and generally horizontally disposed tubes connected into such headers, wherein the second header is dimensioned to permit refrigerant gas to separate from refrigerant liquid to provide an upper volume of refrigerant gas and a lower volume of refrigerant liquid. The condenser may be provided with at least one horizontally extending subcooling tube placing the lower volume in flow communication with the outlet.

25 Jun 2003TL;DR: In this article, the inner fin of a flat tube is prevented from deformation by cutting the tube in width direction together with the flat tube, and a projection portion is projected from at least one of the flat plate portions and whose top is in contact with the other opposing flat plate portion.
Abstract: A flat tube (4) comprises a flat pipe (16) whose both ends are open and in which a flow path for a heat exchange medium is formed, and an inner fin (17) provided in the flow path (15). The flat pipe (16) is formed from a sheet of material for a flat plate. The inner fin (17) comprises two opposing flat plate portions (17b, 17c) connected along one of side edges of the flat pipe (16) and is formed in a flat plate shape so as to be in contact with the inner face of the flat pipe (16), and a projection portion (17d) that projects from at least one of the flat plate portions (17b, 17c) and whose top is in contact with the other opposing flat plate portion. The projection portion (17d) is projected from both flat plate portions (17b, 17c) toward the opposing flat plate portion. Opposing tops may be brought into contact with each other. When the inner fin included in a flat pipe is cut in the width direction together with the flat tube, significant deformation of the inner fin is prevented from occurring.

21 Dec 2007TL;DR: In this article, a wiper-blade-sided fluid assembly is used to supply cleaning and washing fluid, where a nozzle outlet is connected to a supply system over a Wiper blade-side fluid connector.
Abstract: The blade (5) has a wiper blade body (34) i.e. supply hose, extending in a longitudinal direction of the blade, and a wiper rubber (9) that forms a wiper lip at the blade body. An adapter (6) has two adapter parts that are connected by an adapter joint. A nozzle outlet is connected to a supply system over a wiper blade-sided fluid connector of a wiper-blade-sided fluid assembly for supplying cleaning and washing fluid. One of the adapter parts is formed as a fluid connector to which the outlet is flow-moderately connected over a flow channel of the fluid assembly bypassing the joint.
