19 Sep 1997TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed to use a digital code in the coded element of a disk containing a coded pattern to obtain a more accurate determination of the coarse position value determined by the digital value obtained.
Abstract: It is common knowledge that so-called CCD lines are used to build faster rotational angle sensors, whereby the light distribution (L) controlled by a disk containing a coded pattern is measured by a pixel line (11) and converted to digital values by an evaluation device. The present invention seeks to create a positional sensor with enhanced resolution. To this end it proposes to undertake several measures such as conducting a pulsed operation of the light source and using a digital code in the coded element. Other advantageous designs deal with the selection of a maximum code and with a more accurate determination of the coarse position value determined by the digital value obtained. The measuring precision can be further enhanced by displacing the code track or various radially incident code tracks.

13 Jan 2005TL;DR: A steering angle sensor (10) has an increment coded rotor (12) including a ferromagnetic element (24) comprising impulse wire with soft magnetic core and hard magnetic sheath whose passage over a magnetic section (16) creates a sudden demagnetisation generating electrical energy in the induction coil (28) for recording by a counter as discussed by the authors.

26 Apr 2007TL;DR: In this paper, the body of an intake conduit with an outlet into first and second exhaust conduits having a first butterfly valve and a second butterfly valve is connected with a first gear wheel (7) linked to a driving motor.
Abstract: Valve which comprises the body (1) of an intake conduit (2) with an outlet into first and second exhaust conduits (3, 4) having a first butterfly valve (5) and a second butterfly valve (15) respectively, the first butterfly valve being connected with a first gear wheel (7) linked to a driving motor (10) to be moveable in the two closed positions on both sides of an open position, the first gear being linked to a second gear wheel (17) to which a second butterfly is linked by a positive, one-way drive device (18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23) when the first butterfly is moved from its open position into one of its closed positions in such a way as to make the second butterfly move from a closed position to an open position. To this effect the valve has a spring mechanism, (25) to move the second butterfly back to its closed position when the first butterfly is moved into its other closed position.

24 May 2012TL;DR: This paper has developed the equivalent circuit of the interleaved LLC resonant converter, with its primary sideconnected in series and its secondary side connected in parallel, to have relatively high precision in current continuous mode and satisfactory precision inCurrent discontinuous mode.
Abstract: Based on the fundamental approximation equivalent circuit of a single cell LLC resonant converter, this paper has developed the equivalent circuit of the interleaved LLC resonant converter, with its primary side connected in series and its secondary side connected in parallel. The load sharing characteristics of the series-parallel connected interleaved LLC converter is then analyzed and a current sharing mathematical model is developed to illustrate the current sharing principles. A case example of a 300/12–18V, 2.5kW, 500kHz interleaved LLC resonant converter is designed and simulated to verify the proposed load sharing model. The established model's error analysis is conducted and the developed model is proved to have relatively high precision in current continuous mode and satisfactory precision in current discontinuous mode. The Monte Carlo analysis is executed to get an overall review of current sharing among different frequencies and the Worst Case analysis is executed to reveal the sensitivity of different influencing factors. The paper provides innovative and valuable references for the dimensioning of series-parallel connected interleaved LLC resonant converters.

11 Mar 1998TL;DR: In this paper, a lighting system for a motor vehicle includes at least two short range driving lights with chopped beams, for illuminating bends in the road, and a control unit for controlling the power supplied to the short-range driving lights as a function of the steering deflection of the wheels of the vehicle.
Abstract: A lighting system for a motor vehicle includes at least two short range driving lights with chopped beams, for illuminating bends in the road. The system includes a control unit for controlling the power supplied to the short-range (bend lighting) driving lights as a function of the steering deflection of the wheels of the vehicle.
