11 Jun 1997TL;DR: In this paper, an apparatus for moving a vehicle door relative to a vehicle frame is described, which includes a motor for rotating a shaft and a second threaded member which cooperates with the first threaded member.
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for moving a vehicle door relative to a vehicle frame. The apparatus includes a motor for rotating a shaft. The apparatus further includes a first threaded member coupled to the shaft of the motor, wherein the first threaded member is mechanically linked to the vehicle frame. In addition, the apparatus includes a second threaded member which cooperates with the first threaded member so that the second threaded member is moved relative to the first threaded member when the first threaded member is rotated by the shaft of the motor, wherein the second threaded member is mechanically linked to the vehicle door. A method for moving a vehicle door relative to a vehicle frame is also disclosed.

26 May 1999TL;DR: In this article, the air conditioning circuit has branch containing a compressor (4) designed to receive the fluid in the gaseous state and to compress it to a super critical pressure.
Abstract: The air conditioning circuit has branch containing a compressor (4) designed to receive the fluid in the gaseous state and to compress it to a super critical pressure. A first heat exchanger (8) re-cools the fluid from the compressor to a sensibly constant pressure by transferring it to an exterior medium (F1). A first regulator (10) lowers the pressure of the fluid leaving the first heat exchanger to a bring at least in part to the liquid state and a evaporator (11) passes the gaseous fluid to its liquid state at a sensibly constant pressure by taking heat from a second exterior medium (F2) for vehicle interior cooling. The vaporized fluid is afterwards sucked in by the compressor (4). The circuit has a tapping branch (23), in parallel with the first heat exchanger. A valve (22) is provided to allow circulation of the fluid in the first heat exchanger by forming a cooling loop, or in the tapping branch by forming a heating loop in which the evaporator transfers the heat from the refrigerating fluid to the second exterior medium (F2) for space heating.

18 Dec 1996TL;DR: In this article, a CW radar range measuring system has been proposed, where a transmitter adapted to transmit a continuous wave radar signal phase encoded in accordance with a code and a receiver adapted to receive a radar return from the transmitted radar signal.
Abstract: A CW radar range measuring system having a transmitter adapted to transmit a continuous wave radar signal phase encoded in accordance with a code and a receiver adapted to receive a radar return from the transmitted radar signal. The receiver includes an analog to digital converter section for converting a sequence of samples of the radar return into a corresponding sequence of digital words. A digital correlator/integrator is fed by the digital words and the code for providing an indication of radar return energy as a function of range from the transmitter. A processor is fed by the digital correlator/integrator for determining, from the indicated energy, target range. The system includes a frequency spectrum analyzer for determining a frequency spectrum of the digital words and wherein the processor determines the target Doppler frequency from such determined frequency spectrum. In one embodiment of the invention, the digital correlator/integrator is fed the digital words and the frequency analyzer is coupled between the digital correlator/integrator and the processor. In another embodiment of the invention the frequency analyzer is fed the digital words and the digital correlator/integrator is coupled between the frequency analyzer and the processor. In still another embodiment, target range may be determined to an accuracy less than that corresponding to a time delay of 1/f s , the rate the at which the phase of the transmitted signal is phase encoded.

09 Dec 2003TL;DR: In this article, a system and method for controlling the in situ orientation of a vehicle, from a camera that is mounted in the headlamp, as a function of the attitude of the vehicle, is presented.
Abstract: A system and method for controlling the in situ orientation of the headlamps of a vehicle, from a camera that is mounted in the headlamp, as a function of the attitude of the vehicle. A camera is secured to a reflector of the headlamp so as to film the road extending in front of the vehicle. An image processing unit processes at least two successive images in order to detennine a measured horizon line of the road scene in front of the vehicle. A setpoint horizon line has been determined beforehand during initial adjustment of the headlamp. The real horizon line is then brought closer to the setpoint horizon line by modifying the orientation of the headlamp, until the distance between the measured line and the setpoint line tends towards zero.

21 Dec 2001TL;DR: In this article, a clutch release bearing comprising an axially mobile piston (14), and a ring (26 I), integral with a raceway (C 1 ), hooked on the piston with axial-effect squeezing elastic means ( 38, 40 ).
Abstract: The invention concerns a clutch release bearing comprising an axially mobile piston ( 14 ), and a ring ( 26 I), integral with a raceway (C 1 ), hooked on the piston ( 14 ) with axial-effect squeezing elastic means ( 38, 40 ). The ring ( 26 I) is provided with a proximal surface (F 1, 62 ) and a distal surface (F 2, 70 ) arranged axially behind the proximal surface (F 1, 62 ). The proximal surface (F 1, 62 ) is supported on a first hooking surface (A 1, 64 ) provided in the piston ( 14 ). The squeezing means ( 38, 40 ) are supported on the distal surface (F 2, 70 ) of the ring ( 26 I) and a second hooking surface (A 2, 76 ) provided in the piston ( 14 ). The first (A 1, 64 ) and second (A 2, 76 ) hooking surfaces provided in the piston ( 14 ) are arranged axially in front of the distal surface (F 2, 70 ) of the ring ( 26 I) The invention also concerns a method for assembling the elements of said clutch release bearing.
