TL;DR: The observed pattern of inhibition and the similarity in relative rates between different tissue preparations suggested the concept of a single enzyme system interacting with the C 21 -Δ 5 -3β-ol substrates whereas the oxidation of the saturated 3β--ol and the Δ5 -3 β-ol, at least for the C 19 substrates, seemed to be mediated by different enzyme systems.

TL;DR: To obtain the large quantities of the extracellular domain of the nerve growth factor receptor (NGF-R) necessary for structural analyses, this protein was produced in the baculovirus expression system and revealed that RED is an asymmetric molecule and may be a dimer.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: There appears to be an influence of Ca 2+ on 11 β -hydroxylation which is different and separate from the swelling effect, and there is a close relationship between swelling and 11-deoxycorticosterone conversion into corticosterone.
