Abstract
Despite the growing popularity of cyclic voltammetry, many students do not receive formalized training in this technique as part of their coursework. Confronted with self-instruction, students can be left wondering where to start. Here, a short introduction to cyclic voltammetry is provided to help the reader with data acquisition and interpretation. Tips and common pitfalls are provided, and the reader is encouraged to apply what is learned in short, simple training modules provided in the Supporting Information. Armed with the basics, the motivated aspiring electrochemist will find existing resources more accessible and will progress much faster in the understanding of cyclic voltammetry.

SAM Composition and Electrode Roughness Affect Performance of a DNA Biosensor for Antibiotic Resistance.

TL;DR: This study examines how different electrode surfaces and bio-recognition elements affect the performance of a biosensor measuring the hybridisation of a probe for antibiotic resistance to a target gene sequence in solution and shows that electrode selection also plays an important role in overall biosensor performance.

Electrochemical fabrication of Ni or Ni(OH)2@Ni nanoparticle-decorated reduced graphene oxide for supercapacitor applications

TL;DR: In this paper, a facile, rapid, scalable, and green approach is based on the simultaneous co-reduction of GO and Ni2+ ions at ambient conditions from an aqueous solution without using specific reducing and any other protective agents.

Conversion constants for redox potentials measured versus different reference electrodes in acetonitrile solutions at 25°C

TL;DR: In this paper, a critical review of conversion constants amongst various reference electrodes reported in the literature reveals that in most cases the comparisons of redox potential values are far from accurate, and therefore, caution should be exercised when one is comparing the redox properties of complexes measured in CH 3 CN solutions versus different reference electrodes.

An introduction to cyclic voltammetry

TL;DR: In this paper, the procedural steps and their theoretical implications for a laboratory in cyclic voltammetry were described and discussed. But they did not specify the theoretical implications of these procedural steps.

How to incraese the area of cyclic voltammetry curve?

To increase the area of a cyclic voltammetry curve, one can enhance the concentration of the species being studied or increase the scan rate, leading to broader peaks.
