TLDR
A novel method for embedding watermarks into a host image in the frequency domain is proposed and demonstrates that the watermark is robust to various attacks.Abstract:
A novel technique for embedding watermarks into a host image in the frequency domain is proposed. Unlike the traditional techniques, the method addresses that the watermark is embedded at low frequency. The weighted correction is also used to improve the imperceptibility of the watermark. Moreover the watermark is self-extractable and the algorithm is simple. Experimental results demonstrate that the watermark is robust to various attacks.read more

A digital watermark
TL;DR: The paper discusses the feasibility of coding an "undetectable" digital water mark on a standard 512/spl times/512 intensity image with an 8 bit gray scale, capable of carrying such information as authentication or authorisation codes, or a legend essential for image interpretation.

Image-adaptive watermarking using visual models

TL;DR: This work proposes perceptually based watermarking schemes in two frameworks: the block-based discrete cosine transform and multiresolution wavelet framework and discusses the merits of each one, which are shown to provide very good results both in terms of image transparency and robustness.

Signal compression based on models of human perception
TL;DR: It is proposed that fundamental limits in the science can be expressed by the semiquantitative concepts of perceptual entropy and the perceptual distortion-rate function, and current compression technology is examined in that framework.
