Neuroscience 細胞死:最近の知見
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe a scenario where a group of people are attempting to find a solution to the problem of "finding the needle in a haystack" in the environment.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corticostriatal connectivity and its role in disease
TL;DR: Convergent evidence points to IT versus PT differentiation of the corticostriatal system at all levels of functional organization, from cellular signalling mechanisms to circuit topology.
Journal ArticleDOI
Intact-Brain Analyses Reveal Distinct Information Carried by SNc Dopamine Subcircuits.
Talia N. Lerner,Carrie Shilyansky,Thomas J. Davidson,Kathryn E. Evans,Kevin T. Beier,Kelly A. Zalocusky,Ailey K. Crow,Robert C. Malenka,Liqun Luo,Raju Tomer,Karl Deisseroth +10 more
TL;DR: Two parallel nigrostriatal dopamine neuron subpopulations differing in biophysical properties, input wiring, output wiring to dorsomedial striatum versus dorsolateral striatum (DLS), and natural activity patterns during free behavior are identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Neurobiology of rodent self-grooming and its value for translational neuroscience.
Allan V. Kalueff,Adam Stewart,Cai Song,Cai Song,Cai Song,Kent C. Berridge,Ann M. Graybiel,John C. Fentress +7 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that rodent self-grooming may be a useful measure of repetitive behaviour in such models of neuropsychiatric disorders, and therefore of value to translational psychiatry.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dichotomous Organization of the External Globus Pallidus
Nicolas Mallet,Benjamin R. Micklem,Pablo Henny,Matthew Brown,Claire Williams,J. Paul Bolam,Kouichi Nakamura,Peter J. Magill +7 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that GPe exhibits several core components of a dichotomous organization as fundamental as that in striatum, and two populations of GPe neuron together orchestrate activities across all basal ganglia nuclei in a cell-type-specific manner.

Compartment-Specific Modulation of GABAergic Synaptic Transmission by μ-Opioid Receptor in the Mouse Striatum with Green Fluorescent Protein-Expressing Dopamine Islands
TL;DR: It is suggested that MOR activation by endogenous and/or exogenous MOR-selective opioid substances differentially regulates the activities of the striosome and matrix compartments and thus plays an important role in motivated behavior and learning.
Journal ArticleDOI
Targeting striatal cholinergic interneurons in Parkinson's disease: Focus on metabotropic glutamate receptors
TL;DR: A brief survey of studies on the localization and function of mGlu receptors in cholinergic interneurons and the potential relevance of these findings in the control of motor function and in the treatment of Parkinson's disease will be discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Co-expression of neuropeptides in the cat's striatum: an immunohistochemical study of substance P, dynorphin B and enkephalin.
TL;DR: The foundings suggest that neuropeptides from three distinct precursors may be co-localized in single medium-sized neurons in the striatum, and that the differential patterns of co-expression of substance P-like, dynorphin B- like, and enkephalin-like peptides may confer functional specializations upon subpopulations of GABAergic neurons giving rise to the efferent projections of the Striatum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of muscarinic cholinergic binding in the striatum and their relation to dopamine islands and striosomes.
Mary A. Nastuk,Ann M. Graybiel +1 more
TL;DR: The distribution of muscarinic cholinergic binding sites in the striatum was studied in relation to the locations of other neurochemical markers in the developing rat, cat, ferret, and human.
Journal ArticleDOI
Patterns of cell and fiber vulnerability in the mesostriatal system of the mutant mouse weaver. I. Gradients and compartments
TL;DR: The effects of the weaver gene discriminate among mesostriatal subsystems not only according to the regional affiliations of these subsystems within the dorsal and ventral striatum, but also according toThe preferential association of the subsystems for the striosomal and matrical compartments of the caudoputamen.
