Adsorption of o-nitrophenol onto nano iron oxide and alginate microspheres: Batch and column studies
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of pH, adsorbent dose, contact time and temperature on adsorption capacity of the magnetic beads was investigated, and the equilibrium data were fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm models.
Journal ArticleDOI
The removal of arsenic species from aqueous solution by indigenous microbes: Batch bioadsorption and artificial neural network model
Wahid Ali Hamood Altowayti,Somayeh Asadi Haris,Hafedh Almoalemi,Shafinaz Shahir,Zarita Zakaria,Sallehuddin Ibrahim +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, three different bacterial species were isolated from arsenic laden tailing dam sludge at gold mining and the 16S rRNA sequencing data exposed their affiliation to three different genera, Bacillus thuringiensis strain WS3, Pseudomonas stutzeri strain WS9 and Micrococcus yunnanensis strain WS11.

Application of natural adsorbent from silver impregnated Arachis hypogaea based thereon in the processes of hexavalent chromium for the purification of water.
TL;DR: Results revealed that adsorption of chromium(VI) on silver impregnated groundnut husk carbon was endothermic in nature and shifts in the FTIR spectra suggest that dichromate binding occurs with silver and other functional groups and that silver treated groundnuthusk carbon removes chromium.
