Control of wind turbines for fatigue loads reduction and contribution to the grid primary frequency regulation

In this paper, a discrete linear quadratic Gaussian (LQG) controller was designed and analyzed to reduce the drive-train fatigue load of a wind turbine by using the generator torque and pitch angle as control variables.
