Phthalate Sample Preparation Methods and Analysis in Food and Food Packaging: a Review
TL;DR: A review on phthalate esters or phthalic acid esters (PAEs), chemicals of concern since a few decades ago that are widely used as plasticizers in food processing and packaging, is presented taking into account the background of such compounds, the metabolism, human exposure to PAEs, the sources and occurrence in food as well as the toxicological aspects and human health effects as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of phthalates in food simulants and liquid samples using ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction followed by solidification of floating organic drop
TL;DR: In this article, a simple, inexpensive, reliable and environmentally friendly method based on ultrasound-assisted dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction followed by solidification of floating organic drop and gas chromatography-flame ionization detector was developed for the simultaneous determination of five phthalates in food simulants and different food and water samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Speciation of As(III) and As(V) in fruit juices by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction and hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry.
TL;DR: A sensitive method was developed to speciate and quantify As(III) and As(V) in fruit juices except certain pear juice that may contain considerable MMA, which achieved 1.2 μg L(-1) limit of detection and 92-102% recovery at 10 μg L−1.

Liquid-Phase Microextraction in a Single Drop of Organic Solvent by Using a Conventional Microsyringe
Y. He and,Hian Kee Lee +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, two modes of liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) were developed for capillary gas chromatography, i.e., static and dynamic LPME, which involve the use of very small amounts of organic solvent in a conventional microsyringe.
