Development of an Anthropomorphic Robotic Arm and Hand for Interactive Humanoids

TLDR
The novel mechanical design of this humanoid arm makes it sufficiently compact to be compatible with currently available narrating-model humanoids, and to be sufficiently powerful and flexible to be functional; the number of degrees of freedom endowed in this robotic arm is sufficient for executing a wide range of tasks, including dexterous hand movements.

Feasibility of teleoperations with multi-fingered robotic hand for safe extravehicular manipulations

TL;DR: It is demonstrated how state-of-the art sensory gloves, used to measure angles of human finger's joints, can introduce averaged errors of 4.6 degrees in angles, and that these errors increase to 6.5 degrees when remotely replicated by standard anthropomorphic robotic hands.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review of Research and Development of Supernumerary Robotic Limbs

TL;DR: In this article, representative SRLs are summarized from the aspects of related literature analysis, research status, ontology structure design, control and driving, sensing and perception, and application fields.

Design and analysis of a flexible robotic hand with soft fingers and a changeable palm

TL;DR: The design of a novel flexible robotic hand that can adapt its configurations to different grasping demands and an optimised grasping strategy on the basis of the principle of optimal efficiency is proposed to obtain an optimal grasping pose for the target object.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gesture Control Robotic Arm Using Flex Sensor

TL;DR: The design and implementation of a gesture control robotic arm using flex sensor is proposed and a prototype of the robotic arm was constructed and tested for various hand movements.
Journal ArticleDOI

Bioinspired Smell Sensor: Nostril Model and Design

TL;DR: An artificial nostril is proposed, inspired by nature, including the design of chambers to desaturate the sensors and the mathematical model, that bears in mind the sensor model as a cyclic behavior that includes three stages named inhalation, sampling, and exhalation.
