Síntesi quimioenzimàtica d'iminociclitols mitjançant aldolases natives i modificades genèticament

TL;DR: Aldolasas constituyen un grupo de enzimas that permit the formaci estereoselectiva de enlaces C-C mediante una adicion aldolica and representan una pieza clave for el desarrollo de nuevas estrategias quimio-enzimaticas for the sintesis of productos naturales o estructuras innovadoras complejas a partir de moleculas mas sencillas as mentioned in this paper.

Biocatalytic synthesis of maltodextrin-based acrylates from starch and α-cyclodextrin.

TL;DR: The synthesized 2-(β-maltooligooxy)-ethyl acrylate monomers are successfully polymerized by aqueous free radical polymerization to yield the comb-shaped glycopolymer poly(2-(β,4)-glycosidic linkages.

Characterization of the hydantoin-hydrolysing system of Pseudomonas putida RU-KM3s

TL;DR: Results indicated that the hydantoin-hydrolysis pathway in RU-KM3S is regulated by carbon rather than nitrogen catabolite repression.

Microbial aldolases as C-C bonding enzymes : investigation of structural-functional characteristics and application for streoselective reactions

TL;DR: The goal of this work was to investigate FSA and compare it with the transaldolase from Bacillus subtilis (TALBsu) which is similar both in sequence and structure to FSA, and to elucidate relationships between structure and function of both enzymes, and possible applications for FSA and TalBsu for the production of valuable sugars or sugar derivatives.
