Fertility Regulation in Male Rats by Implemented Tetraazamacrocyclic Compounds of Iron(II): Synthetic, Spectroscopic, and Applied Aspects with Toxicological Screening

TLDR
Antifertility and histopathological investigations were carried out on reproductive organs of male albino rats induced by tetraazamacrocyclic complexes of iron(II) by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, IR, and electronic spectra.
Abstract
Antifertility and histopathological investigations were carried out on reproductive organs of male albino rats induced by tetraazamacrocyclic complexes of iron(II). The complexes were synthesized by the template condensation of 1,2-diaminoethane, 1,3-diaminopropane with succinic acid and phthalic acid in 2 : 2 molar ratios which are abbreviated as [ Fe ( TAML n )OAc] ( n = 1 or 2 and TAML n represents tetraazamacrocyclic ligand). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, conductivity measurements, IR, and electronic spectra.

Iron oxide nanoparticles modulate heat shock proteins and organ specific markers expression in mice male accessory organs.

TL;DR: Evidence is provided that Fe2O3‐NPs could be an environmental risk factor for reproductive disease as well as the investigation of oxidative stress biomarkers which demonstrated a significant increase in reactive oxygen species, nitric oxide, lipid peroxidation, protein carbonyl content and glutathione peroxidase in the male accessory organs.

Reversible antifertility effect of cyamposis psoralioides in male swiss albino mice

TL;DR: It is concluded that guar gum can be used as a potent antifertility agent on male Swiss albino mice.

Novel iron phenanthroline-based photosensitizers for antimicrobial PDT: synthesis, DNA binding and photo-induced DNA cleavage activity

TL;DR: Experimental results suggest these Fe(II) complexes interact with DNA through groove-binding mode, and show significant photocleavage of supercoiled DNA proceeds via a type-II process forming singlet oxygen as the reactive species.

Influence of fluoride exposure on hypothalamic pitutary gonadal axis hormones and semen quality

TL;DR: Excessive fluoride exposure accelerate the severity of disease along with the altered hormonal profiles and reduced semen quality, and a positive correlation was observed between fluoride, hypothalamic gonadal axis and semen quality.

Synthesis and characterization of tetranuclear nickel(II) complex with a macrocyclic ligand

Abstract: The literature survey revealed that extensive studies have been made on the' metal complexes of the binucleating macrocyclic ligands I -4 derived from 2, 6-difonnyl-4-methylphenol and diamines. Recently Robson and coworkers? have reported tetranuclear nickel(lI) complexes of the macrocyclic Schiff base formed by condensing two molecules of2, 6-bis(aminomethyl)-4-methylphenol with two molecules of 2, 6-difonnyl..4-methylphenol. More recently Nag and coworkers?" \0 have reported binuclear and tetranuclear nickel(II) complexes of macrocyclic /igands formed by the condensation of different types of diamines and 2, 6-difonnyl-4methyl phenol. In continuation to our interest in macrocyclic nickel(lI) complexes'", we report here the synthesis and characterization of a new tetranickel(II) complex of the formula [Ni4L(J.lOAch(OAcMH20)4].
