From ecosystems to socio-economic benefits: A systematic review of coastal ecosystem services in the Baltic Sea.

TLDR
This work systematically synthesized the primary literature and summarized the current knowledge on ecosystem services derived from seagrass, macroalgae, and mussels, and assessed the current state of knowledge as well as knowledge transfer of ecosystem services to policies through natural, social, human and economic dimensions, using the Eco-GAME matrix.

Are microplastics destabilizing the global network of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystem services

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the potentiality of microplastics to perturb the functioning of terrestrial and aquatic biomes, but also the associated social, ecological and economic repercussions.

Bioenergy: a foundation to environmental sustainability in a changing global climate scenario

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors discuss several bio-fuel induced patterns of land managements, and generations of biofuel resources practices, cultivation of bioenergy crops environmental implications, and prospective techniques for establishing ecologically friendly biomass energy programmes.

Bioenergy and Environment: Future Sustainability for mankind

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss several bio-fuel induced patterns of land managements, and generations of biofuel resources practices, cultivation of bioenergy crops environmental implications, and prospective techniques for establishing ecologically friendly biomass energy programmes.

Valuing Forest Ecosystem Services. Why Is an Integrative Approach Needed

TL;DR: In this article, an integrated assessment with advanced techniques and methods using a pluralist framework of a heterogeneous set of values is considered a better approach to the valuation of such complex nature of the ecosystem goods and services.

Investigation into the impact of aged microplastics on oil behavior in shoreline environments

TL;DR: In this paper, the aging course of polyethylene (PE) in shaking seawater and ultraviolet (UV) radiation conditions was investigated, and the effects of aged MPs on oil behavior in water-sand system were further explored.

The measurement of observer agreement for categorical data

TL;DR: A general statistical methodology for the analysis of multivariate categorical data arising from observer reliability studies is presented and tests for interobserver bias are presented in terms of first-order marginal homogeneity and measures of interob server agreement are developed as generalized kappa-type statistics.

ggplot2: Elegant Graphics for Data Analysis

TL;DR: This book describes ggplot2, a new data visualization package for R that uses the insights from Leland Wilkisons Grammar of Graphics to create a powerful and flexible system for creating data graphics.

Reshaping Data with the reshape Package

TL;DR: The reshape package for R is presented, which provides a common framework for many types of data reshaping and aggregation, where the data are ‘melted’ into a form which distinguishes measured and identifying variables, and then cast into a new shape, whether it be a data frame, list, or high dimensional array.

The impacts of climate change in coastal marine systems.

TL;DR: The relationship between temperature and individual performance is reasonably well understood, and much climate-related research has focused on potential shifts in distribution and abundance driven directly by temperature as discussed by the authors, however, recent work has revealed that both abiotic changes and biological responses in the ocean will be substantially more complex.
