TLDR
The mouse Ak alpha and Ak beta genes, which encode the class II I-Ak molecule, are transferred into mouse L-cell fibroblasts and hamster B cells and it will be possible to dissect the structure-function relationships existing between Ia molecules, foreign antigen, and T-cell receptor molecules by in vitro site-directed mutagenesis and gene transfer.

Cell biology of antigen processing in vitro and in vivo

TL;DR: This review concentrates on the properties of antigen-presenting cells, especially those aspects of their overall organization, regulation, and intracellular transport that both facilitate and modulate the processing of protein antigens.

The Vβ-specific superantigen staphylococcal enterotoxin B: Stimulation of mature T cells and clonal deletion in neonatal mice

TL;DR: It is shown that, for mice, the protein in association with major histocompatibility complex class II molecules stimulates virtually all T cells bearing V beta 3 and V beta 8.3, and few others, demonstrating that tolerance to exogenously administered antigen can be caused by clonal deletion of reactive T cells.

Protein oligomerization in the endoplasmic reticulum

TL;DR: Cet article synthetise les connaissances sur le repliement et l'oligomerisation des proteines du reticulum endoplasmique: proteines membranaires, glycoproteines, proteines de liaison.

Allogeneic Stimulation of Cytotoxic T Cells by Supported Planar Membranes

TL;DR: Cytotoxic T cells induced by purified alloantigen are found to be as susceptible to antibody blockade as are effectors from conventional mixed lymphocyte culture, where the antibody is directed against a T-cell surface antigen reputed to strengthen target cell adhesion through an interaction independent of major histocompatibility antigens.

Selection for animal cells that express the Escherichia coli gene coding for xanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase

TL;DR: Cultured monkey and mouse cells synthesize an Excherichia coli enzyme, xanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase, and recombinant DNAs containing Ecogpt as a selective marker can be useful for cotransformation of nonselectable genes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of staphylococcal protein A as an immunological reagent

TL;DR: Protein A has proven useful for the study of antigens and receptors on the surface of intact cells, and for the detection of antibody-secreting cells, so the use of protein A is now the method of choice for many preparative and analytical purposes in immunology.

Properties of Monoclonal Antibodies to Mouse Ig Allotypes, H-2, and Ia Antigens

TL;DR: A modification of the cell fusion procedure was used to recover stable hybrid cell lines secreting IgG antibodies to mouse major histocompatibility complex alloantigens and mouse immunoglobulin allotypes.

Antigen-inducible, H-2-restricted, interleukin-2-producing T cell hybridomas. Lack of independent antigen and H-2 recognition

TL;DR: These hybrids should prove invaluable as sources of monoclonal material for the study of the receptor(s) on T cells with H-2-restricted antigen specificities and have some bearing on models describing the nature of T cell receptors for antigen recognized in association withH-2 products.
