Unexplained liver dysfunction in a young Chinese man with eosinophilia.

TL;DR: A 37-year-old man complained of a 7 months’ history of yellowish skin and sclera accompanied by fatigue, pruritus and dry mouth, with a history of subcutaneous masses on his elbow.

IgG4 Related Disease Presenting as Simultaneous Pancreatic and Lung Mass Mimicking Malignancy

TL;DR: In this article , a 70 years old Asian male, presented both simultaneously as a pancreatic mass with obstructive jaundice and a lung mass, the patient underwent whipple procedure and was found that the mass lesion of the pancreas is not malignancy but IgG4-RD.
Journal ArticleDOI

IgG4-related disease presenting as a paraneoplastic syndrome: report of two cases and literature review.

TL;DR: This work reports two cases of IgG4-RD with suspected paraneoplastic syndrome, and in both patients, malignancy was observed immediately after diagnosis, and surgical resection resulted in spontaneous regression of IgT3-RD.

TH1 and TH2 cells: different patterns of lymphokine secretion lead to different functional properties.

TL;DR: Two types of cloned helper T cells are described, defined primarily by differences in the pattern of lymphokines ynthesized, and the different functions of the two types of cells and their lymphokine synthesis are discussed.

Differentiation of Effector CD4 T Cell Populations

TL;DR: This review summarizes the discovery, functions, and relationships among Th cells; the cytokine and signaling requirements for their development; the networks of transcription factors involved in their differentiation; the epigenetic regulation of their key cytokines and transcription factors; and human diseases involving defective CD4 T cell differentiation.

Alternative Activation of Macrophages: An Immunologic Functional Perspective

TL;DR: The cellular sources of these cytokines, receptor signaling pathways, and induced markers and gene signatures are reviewed and the concept of macrophage activation in the context of the immune response is revisit.

The regulation of IL-10 production by immune cells

TL;DR: Understanding the specific molecular events that regulate the production of IL-10 will help to answer the remaining questions that are important for the design of new strategies of immune intervention.

High serum IgG4 concentrations in patients with sclerosing pancreatitis.

TL;DR: Patients with sclerosing pancreatitis have high serum IgG4 concentrations, providing a useful means of distinguishing this disorder from other diseases of the pancreas or biliary tract.
