Abstract
The detailed structure of the interaction of a strong stellar wind with the interstellar medium is presented. First, an adiabatic similarity solution is given which is applicable at early times. Second, a similarity solution is derived which includes the effects of thermal conduction between the hot (about 1 million K) interior and the cold shell of swept-up interstellar matter. This solution is then modified to include the effects of radiative energy losses. The evolution of an interstellar bubble is calculated, including the radiative losses. The quantitative results for the outer-shell radius and velocity and the column density of highly ionized species such as O VI are within a factor 2 of the approximate results of Castor, McCray, and Weaver (1975). The effect of stellar motion on the structure of a bubble, the hydrodynamic stability of the outer shell, and the observable properties of the hot region and the outer shell are discussed.

A broad iron line in LMC X-1

TL;DR: In this paper, the spin parameter of the black hole in LMC X-1 was constrained by modeling broad relativistic reflection features in a soft disc-dominated spectrum, showing that enhanced Comptonization strengthened disc reflection.

Relative Effects of Ionizing Radiation and Winds from O-Type Stars on the Structure and Dynamics of H ii Regions

TL;DR: In this paper, simple scaling laws for spherically symmetric, homogeneous model nebulae with uniform density were derived and compared with photoionization effects for much wider ranges of nebular densities, stellar luminosities, and wind strengths than have been considered in previous works.

The Signature of a Wind Reverse Shock in Gamma-Ray Burst Afterglows

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors calculate the dynamics of the flow and the evolution of the blast waves in all of the different stages, and show that the fluid Lorentz factor at r > R0 is equal to 0.725 times the blast wave Lorenz factor as it reaches R0 and is time (and r) independent as long as the blast-wave reverse shock exists.

The Milky Way Project: Leveraging Citizen Science and Machine Learning to Detect Interstellar Bubbles

TL;DR: Brutus as discussed by the authors is based on the Random Forest algorithm, and uses bubbles identified by >35,000 citizen scientists from the Milky Way Project to discover the identifying characteristics of bubbles in images from the Spitzer Space Telescope.

Numerical Simulations of Turbulent, Molecular Clouds Regulated by Radiation Feedback Forces I: Star Formation Rate and Efficiency

TL;DR: In this article, a series of numerical simulations employing the Hyperion} radiation hydrodynamics solver was conducted, considering the regime that is optically thick to ultraviolet (UV) and optically thin to infrared (IR) radiation.
