Abstract
The detailed structure of the interaction of a strong stellar wind with the interstellar medium is presented. First, an adiabatic similarity solution is given which is applicable at early times. Second, a similarity solution is derived which includes the effects of thermal conduction between the hot (about 1 million K) interior and the cold shell of swept-up interstellar matter. This solution is then modified to include the effects of radiative energy losses. The evolution of an interstellar bubble is calculated, including the radiative losses. The quantitative results for the outer-shell radius and velocity and the column density of highly ionized species such as O VI are within a factor 2 of the approximate results of Castor, McCray, and Weaver (1975). The effect of stellar motion on the structure of a bubble, the hydrodynamic stability of the outer shell, and the observable properties of the hot region and the outer shell are discussed.

What Drives the Expansion of Giant HII Regions?: A Study of Stellar Feedback in 30 Doradus

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the pressure associated with different sources of stellar feedback, including warm H II gas, hot gas generated by shock heating from stellar winds and supernovae, direct radiation of stars, and the dust-processed radiation field trapped inside the H II shell.

An Investigation of the Interstellar Environment of Supernova Remnant CTB87

TL;DR: In this paper, a millimeter CO-line observation toward supernova remnant (SNR) CTB 87, which was regarded purely as a pulsar wind nebula (PWN), and an optical investigation of a coincident surrounding superbubble was presented.

VLA Observations of Hydrogen and Helium Recombination Lines from Partially and Fully Ionized Gas in S88B

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present VLA observations of radio recombination lines of hydrogen (H92α, H110α, and H166α) and helium (He92α) made toward the S88B massive star forming region, which contains compact (S88B2) and cometary regions of ionized gas.

On the destruction of star-forming clouds

TL;DR: In this article, the efficiency of Type II supernovae in injecting energy into the interstellar medium and in reheating a fraction of the original star-forming cloud is estimated with the aid of a two-phase model for the cloud.

Constraints on galactic wind models

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that matching the measured correlation between soft x-ray luminosity and star formation rate of starburst galaxies is equivalent to producing a scaled wind massloading factor relative to the star-formation rate of 0.5 - 3, in agreement with the amount inferred from metal absorption line measurements.
