Abstract
The detailed structure of the interaction of a strong stellar wind with the interstellar medium is presented. First, an adiabatic similarity solution is given which is applicable at early times. Second, a similarity solution is derived which includes the effects of thermal conduction between the hot (about 1 million K) interior and the cold shell of swept-up interstellar matter. This solution is then modified to include the effects of radiative energy losses. The evolution of an interstellar bubble is calculated, including the radiative losses. The quantitative results for the outer-shell radius and velocity and the column density of highly ionized species such as O VI are within a factor 2 of the approximate results of Castor, McCray, and Weaver (1975). The effect of stellar motion on the structure of a bubble, the hydrodynamic stability of the outer shell, and the observable properties of the hot region and the outer shell are discussed.

Photodissociation and X-Ray-Dominated Regions

TL;DR: The radiation from stars and active galactic nuclei (AGNs) creates photodissociation regions (PDRs) and X-ray-dominated regions (XDRs), where the chemistry or heating are dominated by far-ultraviolet (FUV) radiation or Xray radiation, respectively as discussed by the authors .

A Failed Gamma-Ray Burst with Dirty Energetic Jets Spirited Away? New Implications for the GRB-SN Connection from Supernova 2002ap

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the recently proposed jet hypothesis from SN 2002ap by a spectropolarimetric observation and found that jets should be moving at about 0.23c with a jet kinetic energy of ~5 x 10−50 erg, a similar energy scale to the GRB jets.

Starburst Driven Galactic Superbubbles Radiating to 10 K

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the effect of radiative cooling on wind kinematics and content of the galactic wind. But they do not investigate the relationship between the velocity of a galactic wind and the power of the starburst and show that the mass fraction of cold neutral and hot X-ray gas in the galaxy wind is smaller than that in warm H$\alpha.
