TLDR
It is found that overexpression of lncRNA MEG3 could decrease the proliferation and metastasis of gastric cancer cells and could also increase the expression of p53.Abstract:
Objective lncRNA MEG3 has been reported as a tumor suppressor gene in many different kinds of cancer, but its role in gastric cancer has not been fully understood. Then, we would like to explore its mechanism in gastric cancer. Patients and methods We first used qRT-PCR to detect the expression of lncRNA MEG3, then CCK8 and wound healing assay were used to detect the effect of lncRNA MEG3 on gastric cancer cells. Western blot assay was used to measure the expression of p53 when lncRNA MEG3 was overexpressed. Results lncRNA MEG3 was highly expressed in the adjacent tissue, compared to the one in gastric cancer tissue. What's more, we also found that overexpression of lncRNA MEG3 could decrease the proliferation and metastasis of gastric cancer cells. Finally, overexpression of lncRNA MEG3 could also increase the expression of p53. Conclusions lncRNA MEG3 could inhibit the proliferation and metastasis of gastric cancer.read more

A Newly Identified LncRNA LncIMF4 Controls Adipogenesis of Porcine Intramuscular Preadipocyte through Attenuating Autophagy to Inhibit Lipolysis
TL;DR: By RNA sequence analysis of intramuscular adipocyte from Bamei pig (fat-type) and Yorkshire pig (lean-type), it is found that a novel lncRNA, lncIMF4, was associated with adipogenesis, and will contribute to understand better the mechanism of lnc RNA controlling intramUScular adipogenesis for promoting pork quality.

Silencing of the long non-coding RNA RHPN1-AS1 suppresses the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition and inhibits breast cancer progression.
TL;DR: RHPN1-AS1 silencing was associated with a decrease in the expression of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) markers in the xenograft tumors, suggesting that RHPN1 -AS1 promotes invasion in BC cells by enhancing EMT.
