Synthesis and characterization of nanocrystalline Ni 0.94 Co 0.03 Mn 0.04 Cu 0.03 Fe 1.96−x Al x O 4 ferrites for microwave device applications

TL;DR: In this article, the substitution of nonmagnetic Al 3+ ion in place of magnetic Fe 3+ ions results decrease of the density and lattice constant, an increase in dc resistivity and reduction in the initial permeability, saturation magnetization (M s ) and Curie temperature (T C ) has been observed with a substitution of Al 3 + ions.

Finite-temperature magnetism of FeRh compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, the temperature dependent stability of the magnetic phases of FeRh was investigated by means of total energy calculations with magnetic disorder treated within the uncompensated disordered local moment approach.

Folding actuation and locomotion of novel magneto-active elastomer (MAE) composites

TL;DR: In this paper, a magnetic-torque-driven hard-magnetic MAE material and an unfilled silicone elastomer were used for actuation and locomotion in a 2T magnetic field.

Site occupancy and magnetic properties of Al-substituted M-type strontium hexaferrite

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used first-principles total energy calculations based on density functional theory to study the site occupancy and magnetic properties of Al-substituted strontium hexaferrite SrFe ions.
