Pulsed laser ablation deposition of yttrium iron garnet and cerium-substituted YIG films

TL;DR: In this article, the lattice parameters of the films and the substrates were measured and indicated that the film/substrate structure was bending to accommodate strain due to lattice mismatch.

Operando Magnetometry Probing the Charge Storage Mechanism of CoO Lithium-Ion Batteries

TL;DR: In this article, an advanced operando magnetometry technology is employed to monitor the magnetization variation of the CoO Li-ion batteries in real time and, in this particular system, it is clearly demonstrated that the anomalous capacity is associated with both the reversible formation of a spin capacitor and the growth of a polymeric film at low voltages.

Particle Interaction Effects in Antiferromagnetic NiO Nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this paper, it is shown that inter-particle interactions can have a strong effect on the superparamagnetic relaxation behavior of NiO nanoparticles, and that it is possible to physically separate the particles without inducing changes in the particle size and shape.

Cavity mediated coherent coupling of magnetic moments

TL;DR: In this article, the authors demonstrate the long-range strong coupling of magnetostatic modes in spatially separated ferromagnets mediated by a microwave frequency cavity, and investigate the dependence of the magnet-magnet coupling on the cavity detuning.

Incorporating Lamination Processing and Component Manufacturing in Electrical Machine Design Tools

TL;DR: Measures to improve the modeling of steel-sheet laminations in electrical machine design tools are studied and it is shown that the lateral dimension, anisotropy and welding influences are much more pronounced then those for punching, pressing and laser cutting and hence, need to be addressed in design tools.
