Electrodeposited magnetic nanowires: arrays, field-induced assembly, and surface functionalization

TL;DR: In this paper, the dynamics of the self-assembly of Ni nanowires under the control of external magnetic fields is analyzed. Butler et al. showed that Ni prisms deposited in these templates show anisotropic magnetic properties along all three axes of the prisms.
Journal ArticleDOI

The phase diagrams and the magnetic properties of a ferrimagnetic mixed spin 1/2 and spin 1 Ising nanowire

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used Monte Carlo Simulation technique (MCS) and effective field theory (EFT) to study the critical and compensation behaviors of a ferrimagnetic cylindrical nanowire.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrosynthesis of Iron, Cobalt, and Zinc Microcrystals and Magnetic Enhancement of the Oxygen Reduction Reaction

TL;DR: In this paper, the magnetic field effect on the oxygen reduction reaction was investigated on polyaniline (PANI) coated gold electrodes, and the effect of a 360 mT applied magnetic field was a slight increase (3%) in the maximum oxygen reduction current, which is correlated with the observed textures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Microstructure, texture and magnetic properties of strip-cast 1.3% Si non-oriented electrical steels

TL;DR: In this paper, the evolution of microstructure, texture and magnetic properties of non-oriented 1.3% silicon steel processed using the twin-roll strip casting was investigated, especially under different solidification structures.

Energy from Ocean Waves : Full Scale Experimental Verification of a Wave Energy Converter

Rafael Waters
TL;DR: A wave energy converter has been constructed and its function and operational characteristics have been thoroughly investigated and published as mentioned in this paper, and the wave energy conversion was installed in March of 20, 2017.
