Recent advances on electromigration in very-large-scale-integration of interconnects

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reviewed what is current with respect to electromigration in Cu in terms of resistance, capacitance delay, electromigration resistance, and cost of production, and concluded that the most serious and persistent reliability problem in interconnect metallization is electromigration.
Journal ArticleDOI

A general-purpose machine learning framework for predicting properties of inorganic materials

TL;DR: This manuscript has created a framework capable of being applied to a broad range of materials data, and demonstrates how this new method can be used to predict diverse properties of crystalline and amorphous materials, such as band gap energy and glass-forming ability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review of thermal conductivity in composites: Mechanisms, parameters and theory

TL;DR: In this paper, theoretical and experimental aspects of thermal conductivity in composites, from thermal energy generation to heat transfers, are reviewed, and the fundamental mechanism of thermal conduction, its mathematical aspects, and certain essential parameters to be considered in this study, such as crystallinity, phonon scattering, or filler/matrix interfaces are discussed in detail.

Role of material microstructure in plate stiffness with relevance to microcantilever sensors

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of microstructure on microcantilever bending stiffness was examined using an isotropic Hooke's law constitutive relationship, compared to a model based upon a micropolar elasticity constitutive model.
