Effect of micro-alloying La on precipitation behavior, mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of Al-Mg-Si alloys
Qiuju Zheng,Qiuju Zheng,Jiang Hongxiang,Jiang Hongxiang,Jie He,Jie He,Lili Zhang,Jiuzhou Zhao,Jiuzhou Zhao +8 more
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of micro-alloying La addition on the precipitation behavior during artificial aging as well as the mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of Al-Mg-Si alloys were investigated by thermal analysis, microstructural characterizations and properties tests.

Investigation on Equal-Channel Angular Pressing-Induced Grain Refinement in an Aluminum Matrix Composite Reinforced with Al-Cu-Ti Metallic Glass Particles
TL;DR: In this paper, a homogeneous ultrafine grain structure composite consisting of metallic glass particles reinforcements was developed by equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) process, which was successfully produced after four passes of ECAP, having an average grain size of 610nm and compressive yield strength of 242 MPa.

Managing mechanical and electrical properties of nanostructured Cu-Fe composite by aging treatment
TL;DR: In this paper , the microstructure evolution and properties of the composites during aging were systematically studied, and mechanisms for superior mechanical and electrical properties were further discussed, by quantifying the contributions of different microstructural constitutes.

Optimized Combination of Strength and Electrical Conductivity of Al-Mg-Si Alloy Processed by ECAP with Two-Step Temperature.
TL;DR: It is revealed that high strength and electrical conductivity of 6063 aluminum alloy can be obtained simultaneously by ECAP processing in TST condition because of ultrafine-grained microstructure and nanosized precipitates.

X-ray line broadening from filed aluminium and wolfram
G.K Williamson,W.H Hall +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used a Geiger counter spectrometer to measure the changes in intensity distribution in the spectra of cold worked aluminium and wolfram and found that the line breadths may be attributed to simultaneous small particle size and strain broadening, the latter predominating at the higher Bragg angles.

The Deformation and Ageing of Mild Steel: III Discussion of Results
TL;DR: In this paper, an attempt is made to explain the observed phenomena in the yielding and ageing of mild steel, described in two previous papers, in the general terms of a grain-boundary theory.
