Natural gas compositions variation effect on capillary tube thermal mass flow meter performance

TLDR
In this article, the effect of natural gas compositions variation on the performance of capillary tube thermal mass flow meters in residential use is studied and the results show that using an average specific heat capacity value for different mixtures causes a deviation below a maximum of only 1.8% and overall average error of 0.62% in measurement accuracy.

Sensitivity of natural gas flow measurement to AGA8 or GERG2008 equation of state utilization

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison between AGA8 and GERG2008 EOS in computing conversion factor is presented. And the results reveal that the relative difference is negative for the practical region of measurement, which means that by replacing AGA8 EOS byGERG2008 standard, the less flow is registered by the measurement system.

Apparatus and methods for measuring fluid flow parameters

TL;DR: In this paper, an apparatus and method for measuring fluid flow parameters operate under conditions wherein the composition of the fluid flow can change rapidly thereby changing the speed of sound within the fluid and wherein the actual flow rate can also change rapidly, thus further changing the transit time of acoustic energy traversing an interrogation path within a fluid.

Experimental and numerical analysis of heat transfer phenomena in a sensor tube of a mass flow controller

TL;DR: In this article, a numerical model is introduced to predict the temperature profile in the sensor tube as well as in the gas stream, where the conjugate heat transfer problem is analyzed to fully understand the heat transfer interaction between sensor tube and the fluid stream, using a single domain approach.
