On the stability of gas bubbles in liquid-gas solutions

In this article, approximate solutions for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid-gas solution are presented, with the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble.
Abstract
With the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble, approximate solutions may be found for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid‐gas solution; approximate solutions are also presented for the rate of growth of a bubble in an oversaturated liquid‐gas solution. The effect of surface tension on the diffusion process is also considered.

Evaluation of stability and size distribution of sunflower oil-coated micro bubbles for localized drug delivery.

TL;DR: The results indicate that the micro fluidic device designed can be used for producing micro bubbles with low variation coefficient using sunflower oil as a coating of micro bubbles, which were stable for periods of time that are long enough for clinical applications even when regular air is used as the gas phase.

Ultrasound-enhanced mass transfer during single-bubble diffusive growth

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors quantify the effect of ultrasound on the diffusive growth of a single spherical CO$_2$ bubble growing on a substrate in supersaturated water and show that the proximity of the wall forces the bubble to oscillate non-spherically, thereby generating vigorous streaming during resonance that results in convection-dominated growth.
