TLDR
In this article, approximate solutions for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid-gas solution are presented, with the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble.
Abstract
With the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble, approximate solutions may be found for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid‐gas solution; approximate solutions are also presented for the rate of growth of a bubble in an oversaturated liquid‐gas solution. The effect of surface tension on the diffusion process is also considered.

Universal spatio-topological control of crystallization in sessile droplets using non-intrusive vapor mediation

TL;DR: In this paper, a mechanism of asymmetric solvent depletion using vapor-mediated interaction is presented, which can non-intrusively regulate the site of crystal precipitation in a drying sessile saline droplet.

Bubble dissolution in horizontal turbulent bubbly flow in domestic central heating system

TL;DR: In this paper, the bubble dissolution rate along a horizontal pipe was investigated experimentally at different operating conditions in a purpose built test rig of a standard domestic central heating system, using two square sectioned sight glasses at two stations, spaced 2.2 m apart.

Tailor-Made Single-Core PLGA Microbubbles as Acoustic Cavitation Enhancers for Therapeutic Applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of synthesis parameters on the acoustic cavitation activity of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microbubbles was investigated.

Aeration of water with oxygen microbubbles and its purging effect

TL;DR: In this article, the authors applied aeration with oxygen microbubbles to tap water; the intent is to quantitatively evaluate whether nitrogen gas originally dissolved in the water under the atmosphere is purged by the aeration of oxygen micro bubbles.

Growth and Dissolution of Gas Bubbles in Molten Boric Oxide

TL;DR: In this paper, the dissolution of air, N/sub 2/O/sub 3/ and O/sub 1/ bubbles was measured by injecting the gases directly into the melt at 550/sup 0/C and recording changes in bubble size with time.

The Dynamics of Cavitation Bubbles

TL;DR: In this paper, three regimes of liquid flow over a body are defined, namely: (a) noncavitating flow, (b) cavitating flow with a relatively small number of cavitation bubbles in the field of flow, and (c) caviting flow with one large cavity about the body.
