TLDR
In this article, approximate solutions for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid-gas solution are presented, with the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble.
Abstract
With the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble, approximate solutions may be found for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid‐gas solution; approximate solutions are also presented for the rate of growth of a bubble in an oversaturated liquid‐gas solution. The effect of surface tension on the diffusion process is also considered.

Dynamics and energetics of bubble growth in magmas: Analytical formulation and numerical modeling

TL;DR: In this article, a model of diffusive and decompressive growth of a bubble in a finite region of melt was developed, which accounts for the energetics of volatile degassing and melt deformation as well as the interactions between viscosity, volatile concentration and diffusivity.

The role of inertial cavitation in acoustic droplet vaporization

TL;DR: In all cases the ADV threshold occurred at a lower rarefactional pressure than the IC threshold, indicating that the phase transition occurs before IC events, and the viscosity and temperature of the bulk fluid are shown to influence both thresholds directly and inversely.

Toward a hydrodynamic theory of sonoluminescence

TL;DR: For small Mach numbers, the Rayleigh-Plesset equations provide the hydrodynamic description of a bubble's breathing motion as mentioned in this paper, and the scaling laws for the maximum bubble radius and the temperature and duration of the collapse are derived in this limit.

On the Existence and Stability of Bulk Nanobubbles

TL;DR: Light is shed on the hypothesis that bulk nanobubbles do exist, they are filled with gas, and they survive for long periods of time, challenging present theories.

The Dynamics of Cavitation Bubbles

TL;DR: In this paper, three regimes of liquid flow over a body are defined, namely: (a) noncavitating flow, (b) cavitating flow with a relatively small number of cavitation bubbles in the field of flow, and (c) caviting flow with one large cavity about the body.
