TLDR
In this article, approximate solutions for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid-gas solution are presented, with the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble.
Abstract
With the neglect of the translational motion of the bubble, approximate solutions may be found for the rate of solution by diffusion of a gas bubble in an undersaturated liquid‐gas solution; approximate solutions are also presented for the rate of growth of a bubble in an oversaturated liquid‐gas solution. The effect of surface tension on the diffusion process is also considered.

Slug Tests with Storage Due to Entrapped Air

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a method which accounts for storage due to entrapped air in slug test analysis; examples illustrate the method; and some recommendations for piezometer construction and slug test practice.

On the role of separated gas in decompression procedures

TL;DR: The results support the theory that separated gas may be present in symptomless decompressions and raise the question of gas transport to the lungs as a factor which should be taken into account in the design of decompression tables.

Dynamics of ensemble of gas bubbles with account of the Laplace pressure on the nucleation stage at degassing in a gas-liqiud mixture

TL;DR: In this article, a new comprehensive analysis of growth dynamics of an ensemble of gas bubbles on the nucleation stage at degassing in a gas-supersaturated liquid solution is presented, where the Laplace pressure in supercritical bubbles is strictly taken into account in the analysis based on the mean field approach to nucleation kinetics.

Growth of a gas bubble in a supersaturated and slightly compressible liquid at low Mach number

TL;DR: In this article, the growth of a gas bubble in a supersaturated and slightly compressible liquid is discussed and the mathematical model is solved analytically by using the modified Plesset and Zwick method.

Discussion of disseminated intravascular coagulation in decompression sickness

TL;DR: The concept of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) is one of the mechanisms which has been receiving much attention as a possible coexisting condition in at least some of the cases of decompression sickness.

The Dynamics of Cavitation Bubbles

TL;DR: In this paper, three regimes of liquid flow over a body are defined, namely: (a) noncavitating flow, (b) cavitating flow with a relatively small number of cavitation bubbles in the field of flow, and (c) caviting flow with one large cavity about the body.
