Protection against photoinhibition in the alpine plant Geum montanum.
TL;DR: Results of a study showing that leaves of G. montanum were remarkably tolerant to sunlight even at low temperatures showed efficient control of electron transport presumably at the level of the cytochrome b/f complex and suggests formation of a protective transthylakoid proton gradient even when linear electron transport is much reduced in the cold.
