TLDR
Biopsies of marginal gingiva obtained still attached to extracted premolars 6–24 months after onset of tooth eruption from 10 children were processed according to standardized electron microscopic techniques and there was no statistically significant correlation between any of these parameters, and the % V VL and A I were not related to the time since onset of Tooth eruption.

A biometric approach to aesthetic crown lengthening: part II--interdental considerations.

TL;DR: New concepts associated with interdental changes due to alterations in tooth and contact area position are described, and the need for treatment of the interd dental papillae is addressed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Degeneration of oral leukocytes.

TL;DR: The morphologic appearance of the cells was similar in the two types of saliva in spite of the difference in pH, and the majority of cells in mouth rinses were neutrophils with multi-lobular nuclei, whilst in saliva the mononuclear degenerated cell form was predominant.
Journal ArticleDOI

The application of stereological methods for studying the effects of differing fixative osmolalities on the intercellular space of oral epithelium. II. Inflamed epithelium.

TL;DR: The effects on normal and mildly burnt oral epithelium of rat palate of commonly used fixatives differing in osmolality and composition were examined quantitatively by the application of a stereological method at the electron microscope level.
Journal ArticleDOI

The ultrastructure of clinically normal sulcular tissues in the beagle dog

TL;DR: The ultrastructure of clinically normal beagle sulcular epithelium and underlying connective tissue has been studied in order to obtain base line information for comparison with similar studies of overtly inflamed gingiva.

The chemotactic effect of mixtures of antibody and antigen on polymorphonuclear leucocytes.

TL;DR: Results are described which indicate that, when antibody-antigen complexes are incubated in fresh serum, a heat-stable substance (or substances) is produced which acts directly as a chemotactic stimulus on the polymorphs.
