- Vol. 15, Iss: 5, pp 383-400
TLDR
Biopsies of marginal gingiva obtained still attached to extracted premolars 6–24 months after onset of tooth eruption from 10 children were processed according to standardized electron microscopic techniques and there was no statistically significant correlation between any of these parameters, and the % V VL and A I were not related to the time since onset of Tooth eruption.

Interepithelial lymphocytes in experimental gingivitis in young and elderly individuals.

TL;DR: From day 0 to day 9 the increase in gingival inflammation was greater in elderly than in young subjects, and the number of lymphocytes per 100 epithelial cells was greater within the crevicular epithelium of elderly subjects, however, this difference was not statistically significant.

The Equine Gingiva: A Gross Anatomical Evaluation

TL;DR: To provide a solid anatomical basis for equine specific periodontal examinations, 20 equine heads were examined macroscopically, with special attention to theGingival sulcus, the gingival margin and the interdental papillae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Monocyte chemotactic activity in human dental plaque

TL;DR: Examination of various fractions of dental plaque material revealed that the major part of the monocyte chemotactic activity resided in a fraction with an appoximate molecular size of 10,000–70,000.

Periodontium and Orthodontic Implications: Biological Basics

TL;DR: The primary goal of this article is to study the main anatomic, histologic, physiologic and pathologic features of the periodontal tissues, and such knowledge to be applied in the Orthodontics and Periodontics fields.

Efecto de un gel de ácido hialurónico en la enfermedad periodontal. Estudio clínico e histopatológico

TL;DR: Hyaluronic acid gel was demonstrated to be an efficacious drug to control the inflammatory process and bleeding that occurs in periodontitis, with a clear improvement in the lymphoplasmacytic infiltrate at the gingival lamina propria with a reduction in this depth in some gingivals.

The chemotactic effect of mixtures of antibody and antigen on polymorphonuclear leucocytes.

TL;DR: Results are described which indicate that, when antibody-antigen complexes are incubated in fresh serum, a heat-stable substance (or substances) is produced which acts directly as a chemotactic stimulus on the polymorphs.
