Rational approximations have been derived for the integral of the Arrhenius function
$$\int\limits_0^T {\exp ( - E/RT)}$$
dT which is important in the kinetic analysis of thermogravimetric data. The first degree rational approximation is found to be equivalent to the Gorbachev approximation, i.e., RT2
exp (−E/RT)/(E+2RT). The second degree rational approximation is more accurate than the Zsako empirical approximation when E/RT 5. The third and higher degree rational approximations are found to be more accurate than any other previous approximation.read more

Non-isothermal Dehydration Kinetics of Ceftriaxone Disodium Hemiheptahydrate
TL;DR: The non-isothermal dehydration behavior of ceftriaxone disodium (CTXN) hemiheptahydrate, investigated by thermogravimetry−derivative thermograimetry (TG−DTG), proceeds in two steps: (1) the loss of two and one-half water molecules and (2) loss of one water molecule.

Pressure effects on thermal decomposition reactions: a thermo-kinetic investigation
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of pressure on the decomposition reaction and kinetics of ammonium perchlorate (AP) is investigated and two different behaviors of catalyzed and non-catalyzed decomposition of AP under different pressure conditions are revealed.

Desolvation Kinetics of Sulfameter Solvates
Ammar Khawam,Douglas R. Flanagan +1 more
TL;DR: Investigating the solid-state stability of five structurally related solvates of sulfameter by studying the kinetics of their desolvation reaction with thermogravimetric analysis found that kinetic parameters obtained isothermally and nonisothermALLY were at variance.

Synthesis of poly(amido amine)‐derived dendrimers with pendant benzoxazine groups and their thermal behavior
TL;DR: In this paper, a dendrimer-derived compound with pendant benzoxazine, named 0G BOZ and 1G BOWZ, were prepared using 0G poly(amido amine) (PAMAM), phenol, and paraformaldehyde.

Predictor-corrector numerical methods for kinetic analysis of TG data: methods applied to oil shale pyrolysis
Ian C. Hoare,W.I. Stuart +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, numerical methods were adapted for the direct solution of non-isothermal kinetic equations, and their use was illustrated by their application to the thermogravimetry of oil shale pyrolysis.

Empirical formula for the exponential integral in non-isothermal kinetics
TL;DR: The exponential integral of the exponential integral can be approximated by means of the empirical formula, e.g. as mentioned in this paper, which approximates p(x) = - \int\limits_\infty ^x {\frac{{e^{ - u} }}{{u^2 }}} \cdot du\).

Reaction kinetics and differential thermal analysis
Ralph T. Yang,Meyer Steinberg +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between chemical kinetics and differential thermal analysis (DTA) curves is studied for the reactions which follow the general rate expression: r = r/sub 0/e/sup -E/RT/(1 - x).
