Removal of methylene blue from aqueous solution with magnetite loaded multi-wall carbon nanotube: kinetic, isotherm and mechanism analysis.

TLDR
The efficient removal of cationic dye, methylene blue (MB), from aqueous solution with the one-pot solvothermal synthesized magnetite-loaded multi-walled carbon nanotubes (M-MWCNTs) was demonstrated, and it was shown that the MB adsorption was pH-dependent.

Adsorptive removal of dyes from aqueous solution onto carbon nanotubes: a review.

TL;DR: It is evident from the literature that CNT based nanosorbents have shown good potential for the removal of dyes from aqueous solution, however, still more research work should be focused on the development of cost effective, higher efficient and environmental friendly CNTbased nanOSorbents for their commercial applications.

A review of biochar as a low-cost adsorbent for aqueous heavy metal removal

TL;DR: In this article, a review incorporating existing literature to understand the overall sorption behavior of heavy metals on biochar adsorbents is presented, and mathematical models are used to evaluate the efficiency of biochar at removing heavy metals.

Adsorption of methylene blue by a high-efficiency adsorbent (polydopamine microspheres): Kinetics, isotherm, thermodynamics and mechanism analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, polydopamine (PDA) microspheres were synthesized by a facile oxidative polymerization method and used as a high-efficiency adsorbent for the removal of a cationic dye (methylene blue, MB) from aqueous solution.

Enhanced Adsorptive Removal of Methyl Orange and Methylene Blue from Aqueous Solution by Alkali-Activated Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes

TL;DR: Experimental results indicated that CNTs-A have excellent adsorption capacity for methyl orange and methylene blue, and Kinetic regression results shown that the adsorbent kinetic was more accurately represented by a pseudo second-order model than Langmuir isotherm model.

Kinetics of Adsorption on Carbon from Solution

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the rate of adsorption of persistent organic compounds on granular carbon is quite low and the rate is partially a function of the pore size distribution of the adsorbent, of the molecular size and configuration of the solute, and of the relative electrokinetic properties of adsorbate and adsorbents.
