TLDR
RDN reduced the occurrence of ventricular arrhythmias/fibrillation and attenuated the rise in LVEDP during left ventricular ischemia without affecting infarct size, changes in ventricular contractility, blood pressure, and reperfusion arrh rhythmias.About:

Role of the Autonomic Nervous System in Modulating Cardiac Arrhythmias
Mark J. Shen,Douglas P. Zipes +1 more
TL;DR: Neural modulation as a treatment for arrhythmias has been well established in certain diseases, such as long QT syndrome, however, in most other arrhythmia diseases, it is still an emerging modality and under investigation.

Cardiac sympathetic denervation in patients with refractory ventricular arrhythmias or electrical storm: Intermediate and long-term follow-up
Marmar Vaseghi,Jean Gima,Christopher Kanaan,Olujimi A. Ajijola,Alexander Marmureanu,Aman Mahajan,Kalyanam Shivkumar +6 more
TL;DR: The beneficial effects of bilateral CSD extend beyond the acute postsympathectomy period, with continued freedom from ICD shocks in 48% of patients and a significant reduction in ICDshocks during follow-up compared to the 12 months before.

Methods for renal neuromodulation
Mark Deem,Denise Zarins,Douglas Sutton,Hanson S. Gifford,Howard R. Levin,Mark Gelfand,Benjamin J. Clark +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a pulsed electric field was used to induce electroporation or electrofusion for renal neuromodulation, which may reduce expansion of an acute myocardial infarction, reduce or prevent the onset of morphological changes that are affiliated with congestive heart failure, and/or be efficacious in the treatment of end stage renal disease.

Cardiac Sympathetic Denervation for Refractory Ventricular Arrhythmias
Marmar Vaseghi,Parag Barwad,Federico Malavassi Corrales,Harikrishna Tandri,Nilesh Mathuria,Rushil Shah,Julie M. Sorg,Jean Gima,Kaushik Mandal,Luis C. Saenz Morales,Yash Lokhandwala,Kalyanam Shivkumar +11 more
TL;DR: CSD decreased sustained VT and ICD shock recurrence in patients with refractory VT and the value of CSD and the characteristics associated with outcomes in this population was assessed.

Methods for Therapeutic Renal Denervation
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed methods that block, reduce and/or inhibit renal sympathetic nerve activity to achieve a reduction in central sympathetic tone, which may carry several therapeutic benefits across many disease states.

TL;DR: The use of early beta-blocker therapy in acute MI reduces the risks of reinfarction and ventricular fibrillation, but increases the risk of cardiogenic shock, especially during the first day or so after admission.

Effects of unilateral cardiac sympathetic denervation on the ventricular fibrillation threshold.
Peter J. Schwartz,Peter J. Schwartz,Neal G. Snebold,Neal G. Snebold,Arthur M. Brown,Arthur M. Brown +5 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that right and left cardiac sympathetic nerves may have different and specific effects on cardiac excitability and contribute to the understanding of the pathogenesis of the long Q-T syndrome and increase the rationale for left stellectomy as the specific treatment for this illness.

Effects of perioperative central neuraxial analgesia on outcome after coronary artery bypass surgery: a meta-analysis.
TL;DR: There were no differences in the rates of mortality or myocardial infarction after coronary artery bypass grafting with central neuraxial analgesia and there were associated improvements in faster time until tracheal extubation, decreased pulmonary complications and cardiac dysrhythmias, and reduced pain scores.

Substantial Reduction in Single Sympathetic Nerve Firing After Renal Denervation in Patients With Resistant Hypertension
Dagmara Hering,Elisabeth Lambert,Elisabeth Lambert,Petra Marusic,Antony Walton,Henry Krum,Gavin Lambert,Gavin Lambert,Murray D. Esler,Murray D. Esler,Markus P. Schlaich,Markus P. Schlaich,Markus P. Schlaich +12 more
TL;DR: RDN results in the substantial and rapid reduction in firing properties of single sympathetic vasoconstrictor fibers, this being more pronounced than multi-unit MSNA inhibition.
