Theoretical study of RgMF (Rg = He, Ne; M = Cu, Ag, Au): Bonded structures of helium

TL;DR: In this article, the CCSD(T)/V5Z method with scalar relativistic effects taken into account was used to investigate the properties of RgMF, RgNE, HeCuF and HeAuF.
Journal ArticleDOI

A discrete Fe18 'molecular chain'.

TL;DR: The use of a new O,N, N,O chelate has led to two new Fe6 and Fe18 molecular compounds, the latter with an unusual double-headed serpentine chain structure.
Journal ArticleDOI

Syntheses, structures, and magnetic properties of a family of tetranuclear hydroxido-bridged Ni(II)2Ln(III)2 (Ln = La, Gd, Tb, and Dy) complexes: display of slow magnetic relaxation by the zinc(II)-dysprosium(III) analogue.

TL;DR: A new family of tetranuclear 3d-4f heterometallic complexes have been synthesized and precise estimations have been made for the antiferromagnetic Ni···Ni, in which the metal ions are all connected together by a bridging hydroxido ligand in a rare μ(4)-mode.
Journal ArticleDOI

Investigation of spectroscopic properties (absorption and emission) of Ho3+ doped alkali, mixed alkali and calcium phosphate glasses

TL;DR: In this article, the luminance spectra of Ho 3+ doped alkali, mixed alkali and calcium phosphate glasses of the type (69.5NH 4 H 2 PO 4 ·15Na 2 HPO 4 )·15CaCO 3 have been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI

Green and near infrared emission of Er 3+ doped PZS and PZC glasses

TL;DR: In this paper, a quenching-melting method was used to generate green light from 50P2O5-30ZnO-20SrO (PZS) and PZC-30000Er(PZC) glasses by using Raman spectra, which showed that SrO creates more bridging oxygen in the linkage of P2O- ZnO glass network compared with CdO in the same glass matrix.

Magnetic bistability in a metal-ion cluster

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the magnetization of the Mn12 cluster is highly anisotropic and the magnetisation relaxation time becomes very long below a temperature of 4 K, giving rise to pronounced hysteresis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum computing in molecular magnets

TL;DR: In this article, an implementation of Grover's algorithm that uses molecular magnets was proposed, which can be used to build dense and efficient memory devices based on the Grover algorithm, in which one single crystal can serve as a storage unit of a dynamic random access memory device.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lanthanide Double-Decker Complexes Functioning as Magnets at the Single-Molecular Level

TL;DR: Double-decker phthalocyanine complexes with Tb3+ or Dy3+ showed slow magnetization relaxation as a single-molecular property and a significant temperature rise results from a mechanism in the relaxation process different from that in the transition-metal-cluster SMMs.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-spin molecules: [Mn12O12(O2CR)16(H2O)4]

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical and magnetochemical properties of [Mn 12 O 12 (O 2 CPh) 16 (H 2 O) 4 ] (3), its solvate 3.
