Synthesis, structure, reactivity and photoluminescence of lanthanide(III) monoporphyrinate complexes

TL;DR: In this paper, a series of cationic lanthanide(III) monoporphyrinate complexes of the general formula [Ln(Por)(H 2 O) 3 ]Cl (Ln 3+ and Er 3+ ) were prepared via the protonolysis of Ln(NR 2 ) 3 with porphyrin free bases (H 2 Por), whose X-ray structures revealed an η 2 agostic interaction between the metal center and the inner C-H bond of the NCP ligand.
Journal ArticleDOI

Field-Induced Single-Ion Magnets Based on Enantiopure Chiral β-Diketonate Ligands

TL;DR: The cocrystal of two homochiral Dy(III) β-diketonate stereoisomers with the 2,2'-bipyridine ligand was formed, showing field-induced single-ion magnet behaviors with a two-step relaxation process, while no stereoisomerization happened for the homochirality Dy( III)β-dketonate with the 1,10-phenanthroline coligand.
Journal ArticleDOI

Conformational ensemble of the sodium-coupled aspartate transporter

TL;DR: A conformational ensemble of protomers that sample the outward-facing and inward-facing states with nearly equal probabilities, indicative of comparable energies, and independently of each other is revealed.
Journal ArticleDOI

A mononuclear Ni(II) complex: a field induced single-molecule magnet showing two slow relaxation processes

TL;DR: This is the first example of a field-induced single-molecule magnet in the class of hexacoordinate Ni(ii) complexes and can be analyzed in terms of the Orbach, direct, and Raman processes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Slow magnetic relaxation in Co(III)-Co(II) mixed-valence dinuclear complexes with a Co(II)O5X (X = Cl, Br, NO3) distorted-octahedral coordination sphere.

TL;DR: The reaction of the multisite coordination ligand with CoX2·nH2O in the presence of tetrabutylammonium hydroxide affords a series of homometallic dinuclear mixed-valence complexes, which are single-molecule magnets (SMMs) and exhibit slow relaxation of magnetization at low temperatures under an applied magnetic field.

Magnetic bistability in a metal-ion cluster

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the magnetization of the Mn12 cluster is highly anisotropic and the magnetisation relaxation time becomes very long below a temperature of 4 K, giving rise to pronounced hysteresis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quantum computing in molecular magnets

TL;DR: In this article, an implementation of Grover's algorithm that uses molecular magnets was proposed, which can be used to build dense and efficient memory devices based on the Grover algorithm, in which one single crystal can serve as a storage unit of a dynamic random access memory device.
Journal ArticleDOI

Lanthanide Double-Decker Complexes Functioning as Magnets at the Single-Molecular Level

TL;DR: Double-decker phthalocyanine complexes with Tb3+ or Dy3+ showed slow magnetization relaxation as a single-molecular property and a significant temperature rise results from a mechanism in the relaxation process different from that in the transition-metal-cluster SMMs.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-spin molecules: [Mn12O12(O2CR)16(H2O)4]

TL;DR: In this paper, the electrochemical and magnetochemical properties of [Mn 12 O 12 (O 2 CPh) 16 (H 2 O) 4 ] (3), its solvate 3.
