TLDR
In this paper, a systematic procedure was developed for listing all possible reactions which could occur between pairs of reagents included within a specified list of molecules and molecular fragments, and a set of criteria was formulated for eliminating from this very large set of possible reactions all those which were significantly less important than the dominant steps retained in the final mechanism.

Rate Coefficients in the C/H/O System

J. Warnatz
TL;DR: In this article, a critical survey of reaction rate coefficient data important in describing high-temperature combustion of H2, CO, and small hydrocarbons up to C4 is presented.

Detailed modelling of combustion systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the basic principles of detailed modeling as applied to combustion systems are discussed. But the authors do not discuss the application of detailed modelling to the simulation of reactive flow systems.

Study of the sensitivity of coupled reaction systems to uncertainties in rate coefficients. III. Analysis of the approximations

TL;DR: In this article, the authors developed a new method of sensitivity analysis for large sets of coupled nonlinear equations with many parameters and developed rigorous error bounds for these approximations, where applicable, they showed that the techniques developed in this series of papers provide a useful and efficient method for sensitivity analysis of large systems with multiple parameters.

Sensitivity analysis of ordinary differential equation systems—A direct method

TL;DR: In this article, the authors considered both first and second-order contributions to Δy with respect to Δc for atmospheric chemical kinetics using constant as well as time varying (diurnal) rate parameters.
