Modelling soil surface charge density using mineral composition
TL;DR: In this article, a mathematical model was proposed to estimate the soil composition from an experimental titration curve and the quantitative analysis of the soil mineral constituents, assuming no interaction among the solid components of mixtures, and the experimental and theoretical titration curves presented a regression coefficient, R 2, higher than 0.95 and significant p-level p = 0.00 for both, soils and mineral mixtures.

Critical evaluation of strength prediction methods for alkali-activated fly ash
TL;DR: In this article, the compressive strength of eight fly ash-based binders was compared with the predicted compressive strengths of metakaolin and fly ash with a sodium hydroxide solution, and it was shown that fly ashes with high contents of Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, and K+ were likely to produce strong binders.

Analysis of the diffraction-line broadening on nanostructured Fe: size?strain effects induced by milling and heating
TL;DR: The microstructure of ball milled Fe powder as a function of the milling time has been investigated using room temperature x-ray powder diffraction and transmission electron microscopy as mentioned in this paper.

TL;DR: In this paper, the X-ray diffraction patterns of bioapatite were simulated using both monoclinic P21/b and hexagonal P63/m structures to verify any occurrence of phase transformation and any difference in the lattice parameters due to the model.

Study of the phase separation in amorphous silicon oxycarbide glasses under heat treatment
TL;DR: In this article, the structural evolution of three silicon oxycarbide glasses was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD) as a function of the pyrolysis temperature.
