Mineralogical characterization of a highly-weathered soil by the Rietveld Method
Andre Mauricio Brinatti,Yvonne Primerano Mascarenhas,Vitor Paulo Pereira,Carmen Silvia de Moya Partiti,A. Macedo +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, a mineralogical characterization through mineral quantification of Brazilian soils by X-ray diffraction data using the Rietveld Method is not common, and the results showed that quartz, gibbsite, rutile, hematite, goethite, kaolinite and halloysite were present in the clay and silt fractions of all horizons.

Computer modeling study of the lithium ion distribution in quaternary Li-Mn-Fe-O spinels
TL;DR: In this article, the lattice energy minimization results make clear predictions as to the Li ion content and distribution in these materials and thereby resolve confusions in the experimental data, which is most pronounced for samples with the Fe:Mn molar ratio close to 1:1.
