Cation distribution of Ni-Zn-Mn ferrite nanoparticles
TL;DR: In this article, the results of these nanoparticles are discussed in terms of the compositional modifications, particle sizes and the corresponding cation distributions as a result of Mn substitutions, and the calculated magnetic moments and lattice constants are used to confirm the derived cation distribution from Rietveld analysis.

The electro-mechanical behavior of sputter-deposited Mo thin films on flexible substrates
Tanja Jörg,Megan J. Cordill,Megan J. Cordill,Robert Franz,Oleksandr Glushko,Oleksandr Glushko,Jörg Winkler,Christian Mitterer +7 more
TL;DR: The electro-mechanical performance of Mo thin films grown by dc magnetron sputter deposition on polyimide substrates was investigated in this article, where a series of 500-nm thick Mo films was synthesized at different discharge powers to evaluate the effect of deposition conditions on the structure-stress relationship and to correlate the intrinsic properties of the Mo films with their electroMechanical response.

Development of Multiphase Microstructure with Bainite, Martensite, and Retained Austenite in a Co-Containing Steel Through Quenching and Partitioning (Q&P) Treatment
Santigopal Samanta,Sourav Das,Debalay Chakrabarti,Indradev Samajdar,Shiv Brat Singh,Arunansu Haldar +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a steel containing 0.32 C, 1.78 Mn, 0.64 Si and 1.75 Al was used to suppress carbide precipitation and achieved carbon partitioning after quenching.

NIR-to-visible and NIR-to-NIR upconversion in lanthanide doped nanocrystalline GdOF with trigonal structure
Tiziana Passuello,Fabio Piccinelli,Marco Pedroni,Stefano Polizzi,Francesca Mangiarini,Fiorenzo Vetrone,Marco Bettinelli,Adolfo Speghini +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the emission spectra of the lanthanide doped nanoparticles were investigated in terms of emission spectrum properties, and it was determined that the nanoparticles are single phase trigonal GdOF.

High-strength PM aluminium by milling in ammonia gas and sintering
TL;DR: High-strength Al has been produced by attrition milling in ammonia gas atmosphere and powder consolidation by cold pressing and sintering as discussed by the authors, which has a high tensile strength (515 MPa) and its high-temperature behaviour is outstanding.
