Thermal modeling of cylindrical lithium ion battery during discharge cycle

TLDR
In this paper, a finite element analysis (FEA) of cylindrical lithium ion (Li-ion) battery is presented, where a simplified model is employed by adopting a cylinrical coordinate to solve conservation of energy considering heat generations due to both joule heating and entropy change.
