TLDR
A method of obtaining very large nuclear-spin polarizations and a means of extending the resultant sensitivity enhancement to other spins is proposed in which the transfer of order occurs through population differences not associated with magnetization.
Abstract
A method of obtaining very large nuclear-spin polarizations is proposed and illustrated by density-operator calculations. The prediction is that chemical reaction and rf irradiation can convert the scalar parahydrogen state into polarization of order unity on the nuclear spins of the products of molecular-hydrogen addition reactions. A means of extending the resultant sensitivity enhancement to other spins is proposed in which the transfer of order occurs through population differences not associated with magnetization.

A Hyperpolarizable1H Magnetic Resonance Probe for Signal Detection 15 Minutes after Spin Polarization Storage

TL;DR: The creation of such hyperpolarized long‐lived polarization reflects an important step forward in the pipeline to see such agents used as clinical probes of disease.

Investigating pyridazine and phthalazine exchange in a series of iridium complexes in order to define their role in the catalytic transfer of magnetisation from para-hydrogen

TL;DR: In this article, two dihydride complexes are shown to undergo both full N-heterocycle dissociation and a haptotropic shift, the rates of which are affected by both steric interactions and free ligand pKa values.

Photochemical Pump and NMR Probe: Chemically Created NMR Coherence on a Microsecond Time Scale

TL;DR: The product operator formalism is used to show that this oscillatory behavior arises from a magnetic coherence in the plane orthogonal to the magnetic field that is generated by use of the laser pulse without rf initialization, thereby distinguishing between thermal and photochemical reactivity within the NMR tube.

Polarization transfer from para-hydrogen to heteronuclei: effect of H/D substitution. The case of AA'X and A2A2'X spin systems.

TL;DR: A theory has been worked out for assessing the details of the X spectrum (multiplet patterns) in the case of ALTADENA and PASADENA experiments and it is shown that this transfer effectively occurs if the spin system in the hydrogenated molecule is of the type AA'X.

Temperature‐Controlled Molecular Depolarization Gates in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

TL;DR: Down the drain: Cryptophane cages in combination with selective radiofrequency spin labeling can be used as molecular 'transpletor' units for transferring depletion of spin polarization from a hyperpolarized 'source' spin ensemble to a 'drain' ensemble.
