Journal ArticleDOI
Coordination chemistry of vanadium in biological systems
Alison Butler,Carl J. Carrano +1 more
TL;DR: This work has shown that vanadium-protein interactions with nucleic acids, as well as other systems, are related to dopamine-substituted bleomycin and J-monooxygenase respectively.
Book ChapterDOI
Metal Ions Associated to the Molecular Sieve Framework: Possible Catalytic Oxidation Sites
G. Bellussi,M.S. Rigutto +1 more
Journal ArticleDOI
Zeolite-encapsulated Mn(II) complexes as catalysts for selective alkene oxidation
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that when encapsulated in the supercages of zeolites X and Y, cis-[Mn(bpy)2]2+ complexes can catalyse selective epoxidation of alkenes without complications from competing processes such as self-oxidation or catalase activity.
Journal ArticleDOI
Oxovanadium complexes in catalytic oxidations
TL;DR: In this paper, an overview on the application of oxovanadium complexes as catalysts or mediators for oxidations by molecular oxygen, peroxidative oxygenations (both including epoxidations), halogenations and carboxylations of aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, and/or olefins, toward the syntheses of a variety of organic compounds, such as alcohols, ketones, epoxides, aldehydes, organohalides and orcarboxylic acids.
Journal ArticleDOI
Alkylrhenium oxides as homogeneous epoxidation catalysts: Activity, selectivity, stability, deactivation
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and crystal structure of the monomeric amino-functionalized complex O 3 ReO(O 2 ) 2 · H 2 O 2 (4A) and its (violet) polymeric form (4B ) are reported.
