Book ChapterDOI

Immobilization of homogeneous oxidation catalysts

TL;DR: In this article, the anchoring strategies for 16 elements are discussed, including oxides such as silica and alumina, zeolites, organic polymers, and activated carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Activity of peroxo and hydroperoxo complexes of tiiv in olefin epoxidation: a density functional model study of energetics and mechanism

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the epoxidation of olefins by TiIV peroxo and hydroperoxo (alkylperoxideo) complexes using a hybrid DFT method (B3LYP).
Journal ArticleDOI

A convenient ruthenium-catalyzed alkene epoxidation with hydrogen peroxide as oxidant

TL;DR: A general procedure for the epoxidation of various olefins using hydrogen peroxide as the oxidant in the presence of ruthenium trichloride has been developed as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Benign-by-design preparation of humin-based iron oxide catalytic nanocomposites

TL;DR: In this article, a starting point for valorisation of humins via preparation of humin-based iron oxide catalytic nanocomposites from humins and thermally treated humins (foams) via solvent-free methodologies including ball milling and thermal degradation is provided.
Journal ArticleDOI

Structure, Bonding, and Catecholase Mechanism of Copper Bispidine Complexes

TL;DR: The present density functional theory (DFT) based study provides an analysis of the electronic structure and catalytic activity of [(bispidine)Cu}(2)(O(2))](2+) and shows an unusual σ/π bonding pattern, responsible for the stability of the peroxo complex and the observed catecholase activity with a unique mechanistic pathway.
