An Optimal Solution to The Unit Commitment Problem for A Hybrid Power System

TL;DR: In this article , the authors address the unit commitment problem for a power system consisted of conventional fossil power plants and wind energy farms, the main objective function to be reduced is the cost of fuel while meeting the technical and environmental restrictions such as limitation of power generation for each unit, startup cost, shut-down cost, spinning reserve, CO2 emission, wind speed limit.

Adaptive Robust Optimization for the Security Constrained Unit Commitment Problem

TL;DR: In this paper, a two-stage adaptive robust unit commitment model for the security constrained unit commitment problem in the presence of nodal net injection uncertainty is proposed, which only requires a deterministic uncertainty set, rather than a hard-to-obtain probability distribution on the uncertain data.
