Immune boosting by B.1.1.529 (Omicron) depends on previous SARS-CoV-2 exposure

Catherine J. Reynolds, +125 more
- 14 Jun 2022 -
TL;DR: B and T cell immunity against previous variants of concern was enhanced in triple vaccinated individuals, but magnitude of T and B cell responses against B.1.1 .1.529 spike protein was reduced.
Journal ArticleDOI

Site-saturation mutagenesis of position V117 in OXA-1 β-lactamase: effect of side chain polarity on enzyme carboxylation and substrate turnover.

TL;DR: A novel fluorescence anisotropy assay is used to show that the specific charge and hydrogen-bonding potential of the residue at position 117 affect CO(2) binding to K70, which in turn correlates to deacylation activity, suggesting a reason for the preponderance of asparagine at the V117-homologous position in the sensors.
