Vegetables, fruit and risk of non-gallstone-related acute pancreatitis: a population-based prospective cohort study
TL;DR: The authors observed a significant inverse linear dose–response association between vegetable consumption and risk of non-gallstone-related acute pancreatitis; every two additional servings per day were associated with 17% risk reduction.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors found that the average age at menarche is associated with risk for seven cancers in middle-aged women, and understanding the shared underlying causal pathways across these cancers may suggest new avenues for cancer prevention.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dietary cadmium exposure and kidney stone incidence: A population-based prospective cohort study of men & women
Laura D.K. Thomas,Carl-Gustaf Elinder,Carl-Gustaf Elinder,Hans-Göran Tiselius,Alicja Wolk,Agneta Åkesson +5 more
TL;DR: The results do not support a strong association between dietary cadmium and kidney stone risk at the exposure levels seen in the general population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dietary intake of lignans and risk of esophageal and gastric adenocarcinoma: a cohort study in Sweden
TL;DR: No clear support for a protective role of dietary intake of lignans in the development of esophageal or gastric adenocarcinoma was found.
Journal ArticleDOI
Relationship Between Physical Activity and Heart Failure Risk in Women
TL;DR: It is found that moderate to high levels of total physical activity were associated with a reduced risk of future heart failure, and walking or biking ≥20 minutes every day was associated with the largest risk reduction of heart failure.
